Under the motto of “scholarship, erudition, tradition”, the magazine offers articles on subjects relevant to the humanities and social sciences. Researchers and other experts are given the opportunity to interconnect with an informed readership. The ambition is to stimulate insightful and knowledge-based public debate that moves beyond the restrictions of specialist fields, does not veer from the big existential issues, and engages in current topics on the international arena.
The magazine is published nine times a year. It contains essays and has an extensive section for reviews of international non-fiction. It also addresses current issues in social debate and the arts. A selection of recent Swedish non-fiction literature is presented twice a year.
