A Royal History is a three-year project on royal institutions and their historical and contemporary significance.
The project focuses on three aspects: royal parks and gardens, women regents, and royal palaces. The first seminar was held at Drottningholm Palace in 2015, the tricentennial of Queen Hedwig Eleonora’s death, and the second took place at Engelsberg Ironworks in 2016. The third was at Gripsholm Castle on 15 September, 2017.
The project is documented in seminars broadcast on Axess TV, in interviews with the lecturers, and in three books, one for each seminar, illustrated with historical images.
