\n F\u00f6r att bevara och utveckla kunskapen om den klassiska arkitekturen har stiftelsen, i samarbete med universitetet i Cambridge, grundat Ax:son Johnson Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture. Centret bedriver forskning och utbildning kring den klassiska arkitekturens historia och betydelse idag, samt arrangerar seminarier. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Den klassiska byggnadsstilen utg\u00e5r fr\u00e5n m\u00e4nniskan och hennes behov, och utvecklades kontinuerligt fram till 1900-talets f\u00f6rsta h\u00e4lft. Det moderna massamh\u00e4llets krav p\u00e5 storskalighet och effektivitet gjorde dock att en ny stil, modernismen, med ett reducerat formspr\u00e5k kom att dominera den samtida arkitekturen.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Under senare \u00e5r har intresset f\u00f6r och efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 klassisk arkitektur \u00f6kat bland b\u00e5de allm\u00e4nhet och fastighetsutvecklare. F\u00f6r att bevara och utveckla kunskapen om den klassiska arkitekturen har stiftelsen, i samarbete med universitetet i Cambridge, grundat Ax:son Johnson Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture<\/a>.
