Applied history is a key theme in the foundation’s research and education projects.
Book publishing has been an important part of the foundation’s work since 1999. Since 2018, Stolpe Publishing publishes books based on the foundation’s research projects and seminars.
Stople Publishing strives to produce non-fiction of the highest quality, which means great emphasis on design, reproduction, printing and binding. The publishing house collaborates in full with the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation for Public Benefit, whose vision is to support individuals, ideas and projects in the humanities and social sciences. Bokförlaget Stolpe publishes, among others, books based on the foundation’s research projects and seminars and makes them available in Sweden and the rest of the world.
