Frans G. Bengtsson: New Perspectives on the Author of The Long Ships
Most people know that Frans G. Bengtsson wrote the classic Viking tale Röde Orm (The Long Ships). The book is still read by many and coloured the view of the Viking era in our literary imagination. But who was Frans G. Bengtsson really and what is his literary legacy?
During the seminar at van der Nootska Palatset on 22 May, led by Stina Otterberg Engdahl, leading academics and authors shared more about various aspects of Frans G. Bengtsson’s life and authorship.
