Museums of the World
Since 2014, the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation has organised the international seminar series Museums of the World – on the state of the museums today, their historical background as well as their future role, purpose and challenges. The series of lectures and seminars examined the fundamental idea of the museum and its historical developments which is an ongoing effort by the Ax:son Johnson Foundation to further the dissemination of scholarly knowledge.
